Ideas
We are trying to develop a storyline and plot for our film. Most of our ideas involve filming at night, but all 3 are at different locations. The thing that might help us decide which to choose is how confident we feel in the camera work and editing once its filmed. Here are our 3 ideas we narrowed down to choose from.
Idea #1
Our first idea is to go off of our midterm film. This film was about a boy walking along at night, who end up getting killed by a person in a car. The person then puts his dead body in a trash bag and puts it in the trunk of the car. We are planning on making the camera lighting and editing cleaner. We could make the cuts more sudden, instead of blurring shots and fading sounds between each, when the camera cuts between the villain and main character. It would be filmed in the same location, which is a long dark driveway at our friend's house.
Idea #2
Our second idea is to film at Mikala's house. We would have me be the main character in the kitchen working on something, maybe cooking, or homework, or dishes. We would be filming this at night and have dim lights in the kitchen but the rest of the house is dark. There would be a person watching through the windows and moving in the dark so you can only see their shadows. It could end maybe in a murder or leave the audience on a cliffhanger and stop it right before a murder.
Idea #3
Our third idea is to film at pickle ball courts in my neighborhood. I would be playing pickle ball with friends, including Mikala, and would be led to the woods to "play a game". As my friends walk me out to the woods, they make me lead the way and let me keep walking deeper into them without following me. The innocent trick they tried to play ended up being a disaster and a huge missing case that must be solved by the federal department.
